REALTOR of the Year
Ed Mahoney, ABR
Ed Mahoney, ABR, was selected by his peers as the 2009 REALTOR® of the Year. This cherished award is presented annually to a REALTOR® who is faithful to the principles of organized real estate, real estate laws and regulations of the Association; sets an example of sound real estate practices; promotes cooperation among fellow REALTORS®; and has an outstanding interest in civic and community affairs. Mr. Mahoney is a broker-associate with RE/MAX Professionals, has been a member of CAAR since 1986 and is also a member of the Commercial Real Estate Network having previously served as its chairman. |

Rising Star Award
Natchure Stockton, ABR, GRI
The Rising Star Award honors a newly active REALTOR® (less than four years as a member) who demonstrates unusual enthusiasm in the association and its programs by attendance and participation. Sales production is not an overriding factor but is also a consideration. The Rising Star Award was presented to Natchure Stockton who serves as the Vice Chairman of CAAR's Government Affairs Committee and is affiliated with the Real Estate Group. Recently, Natchure was one of 12 individuals selected to participate in the 2009 Illinois Association of REALTORS Leadership Development program.

Community Service Award
Michelle Higginbotham
The REALTOR® Community Service award is given to honor individuals who have made outstanding service contributions to the community. This award was presented to Michelle Higginbotham. Ms. Higginbotham has been a member of CAAR since 2006, is a member of the Commercial Real Estate Network serving on its advisory committee and is affiliated with Coldwell Banker Devonshire Commercial.

Two Named to Hall of Fame
The REALTORŪ Hall of Fame award is given to honor individuals who have held membership in the association for at least 20 years, have a record of outstanding service to the association, have made significant contributions to the community and are of high moral and social integrity. This year this award was bestowed on two such individuals. |

Jan Sables, ABR, GRI
The Hall of Fame award was presented to Jan Sables. Ms. Sables has been a member of CAAR since 1988 and holds the ABR, and GRI designations. Ms. Sables was the recipient of the Community Service Award in 2004, has previously served on the CAAR Board of Directors and is affiliated with RE/MAX Professionals.

Peter Steward, ABR, CRS, GRI
The Hall of Fame award was presented to Peter Steward. Mr. Steward has been a member of CAAR since 1976, holds the ABR, CRS and GRI designations and is an associate with RE/MAX Professionals. Mr. Steward was the association's REALTOR of the Year in 2008. |

Two Recognized as REALTOR Emeritus
Two individuals were recognized by the association as having achieved the 30/70 year REALTOR Emeritus status. They are: Sharon McDaniels (RE/MAX Professionals); and, Ronald D. Ladley (Charles E. Robbins, REALTORS). |
